memory issues

I had a memory chip of 4g and i thought that the lack of memory was because it was only 4g so I bought a 16g chip and I am still having memory issues. I can barely download anything into the memory. why?
 
You have internal mmory in the phone, and external memory on the chip. You're running out of internal memory.

Move your pictures, videos, music, etc., to the chip. Use an app like app2sd to move apps to the chip.
