Memory issues

I have a MXQ android tv box with DDR3 1G RAM + Flash 8GB ROM, I found that I'm running out of space with all the addons! How can I use a sd card or a external hard drive as main source for storage? I can't find in the setting where I could make this happen

I have the same issue, I seen that i have 4.3gb in "misc" but i cant find these files to delete them..

I have the same issue with my Idronation android box (168G), which has a 2.4 gb internal memory and 2.6 nand flash memory, where it keeps apps. All my attempts to move the apps to an external sd card have failed so far. I detest Android for its feeble file manager and silly conventions of calling internal storage "sd card" etc. In frustration, I had ordered an Intel NUC box that runs linux and Windows to run kodi on.
