Menu and Return buttons blinking

Quick question: On my Verizon Note II
when I browse or go to any other application both Menu and Return button lights blink 'once' while I tap on anything (on the web pages or simply moving across the main pages etc.).
Is this normal? Thanks

Mine does the same thing, must be normal.

When you say 'blink' - how long do they stay lit?

It's a touchscreen so when you touch the screen it shows you the buttons you can use because they're not hard buttons.
