Help Merging Contacts

I am syncing my contacts on S3 with Gmail accountand the S3 is merging some contacts that are similar. The number of contacts on Gmail is correct (2150) but S3 has 2141 contacts, Is there any way to determine if 2 contacts are merged on the S3. I know that if I go into each contact I can see if it is merged but with 2150 contacts I am looking for an easier way.

Anyone have suggestions?

If it merges them it would be merged on the gmail account on your computer as well. Go to a desktop and log into gmail from there and go to your contacts. I think ones that were merged or it thinks it should merge have (+1) or (+2) etc. next to them or something in the listings.

The number of contacts in Gmail on web is different than on S3
