Root [Merit] Rooting merit stuck!!! Help! :o

im in the proccess ATM trying to root my merit, im using "Complete ZTE Merit Guide: Root, Flash Recovery and Install New ROM (with links)" and im stuck on #10. i have triple checked that my usb debugging IS on, i ENABLED the grey buttom and still nothing. PLZ HELP!

Far easier ways of rooting the merit have been found.

Use "[RELEASE] EASIEST MERIT ROOT METHOD--UPDATE.ZIP [no adb needed]" guide made by stayboogy.

how do you reboot into recovery?
and just for clarification, what is the "black key"?

turn off phone.
hold down volume up, menu, and power button.

ok got it and i have both the zips in there as described but i cant figure out how to download/work cwm lol do i download and install it or am i suposed to already have it in my phone somehow?
