I'm sorry you're having trouble,
but,
you don't even know what you were doing in the first place which makes it that much harder for any of us to help fix what you've done.
first things first...
1) turn off the phone.
2) hold the menu key and hold the volume up key
3) with both keys held, push the power key for a couple of seconds and DO NOT RELEASE the menu key or volume up key
is your phone in recovery now? if so, then you need to download this file:
update
and put it on your sdcard, at the root of the filesystem of the sdcard--do not rename it, do not change it in any way
then follow the same procedure outlined above and get back into stock recovery.
if your phone is the Merit, then you need to choose the second option in the recovery and press the back key--this will install a new recovery (as long as you've followed the directions).
then you need to turn off the phone, and follow the same procedure as above and boot into the new recovery.
download this file:
merit.stock.rooted
unrar it.
create a new folder on your sdcard called
clockworkmod, open that folder and create a new folder called
backup, open that folder
now, copy the folder named
merit.stock.rooted, that has the 7 files in it inside the backup folder
your folder structure should look like this:
sdcard
-clockworkmod
--backup
---merit.stock.rooted
----.android_secure.vfat.tar
----boot.img
----cache.yaffs2.img
----data.yaffs2.img
----nandroid.md5
----recovery.img
----system.yaffs2.img
now, in the new recovery choose
RECOVERY TOOLS
then choose
restore
then choose
merit.stock.rooted
then choose
yes - restore
when finished, reboot the phone. your phone is now stock and rooted.
