Help Mesmerize Random wake up

[Badfastbusa]

My Samsung Mesmerize randomly wakes up to the lock screen about every 5 minuites and it is driving me nuts... I thought it was checking for emails or something but I have deleted all of my emails off to try to get it to quit randomly waking to the lock screen with no luck... I don't see any reason it has for doing it, and it don't seem like it should do it even if it is checking for emails etc, it should do it without turning on the screen and running down my battery for nothing.

Any suggestions?

Awesome forum BTW!!!

If it was a normal occurrence one of the 55 views probably would have offered a solution.

My suggestion would be to check the other applications that you are using. Facebook, twitter, and a lot of other third party apps ask you for permission to sync in the background. Most will do so 24 hours a day if you don't tweak the settings.
