Help Message Alert Sound

Hi all, looking for some help, just got my SGS a few days ago and im having trouble setting a sound as my txt message alert.

I have downloaded a few soundboards and want to use one of them....i press and hold the sound i want and set as my default notification.....i then go into settings and choose the relevant sound but everytime i get a txt i'm still getting the stupid t-mobile msg sound.......frustrating!!

Create these strings of folder in your internal SD. media -> audio -> notifications. Put the ringtone you want to set as your text message inside the notification folder. Restart your phone. You should now be able to see the file on the list of notification ringtones in Settings.

How do I turn on the alert in the Task application for my Samsung Galaxy SII?
