Message alert sounds only once

Easy question for someone, I'm sure. I want to set my text message alert to sound periodically until the text is opened, rather than only one time when the message is received. How do I do this? Thanks.

Not sure if the stock text app has that feature but there are apps for this

Easy reminder or missed text reminder are a couple of them.

To find others you can search text/sms alert or reminder in the market

Or u can try noled... Ive been using that... It blinks a colored notice until u check it... U can assign different colors for missed call. Email. Text. Voicemail. Etc...
