Hey Ice,
Are you using your stock messaging app? Does your phone give you any error messages such as a force close? Or is your phone simply not registering you finger touching the screen?
Might I suggest a factory reset. If not why don't you give a 3rd party texting app? I personally enjoy Go SMS which can be found here;

There are others apps too which other users enjoy such as Handcent and ChompSMS. Try them out and see which works best.
Of course this is assuming by messaging you mean texting.
