Boost mobile kept sending messages offering me a payment grace period. At the bottom it said; type END to stop. I did and tried to send several times, but it wouldn't. Now I have a red notification symbol on my message icon that won't go away, even after clearing all my messages. Not life threatening, but a little annoying. Anyone?

It means unsent message. If you've deleted the offending message and it won't go away, just restart the phone.

It's been there awhile. I've restarted several times as well as a couple of soft reboots. Am I stuck with it, aside from doing a soft reboot? Thanks for your time.

Have you tried clearing the message app data? Not sure if it will delete your sms so you may want to backup first.
