message issue

i sent a message earlier to my mother inlaw. it was a reasonably long message and i beleive the longer messages show up on the phone as media (i dont know why) but on this occasion and with no apparent warning when i pressed send, a picture was sent from my phone along with the text :-o . im sure there was no picture before i pressed send and i was only intending to send text so how did this happen ?

i really dont want it to happen again !

Did it actually send a picture, that is to say, did she receive one or did it just send the message as an MMS.

First thing's first, what are you sending your mother in law a long text for!!!

Seriously tho, very long texts (I'm not sure how many characters exactly) automatically convert to MMS. If you are rooted, you can stop this happening.
