message notification app?

Newbie
The only thing I dont like about the phone is there is no physical message indicator on the outside of the phone

Does anyone know if there is a simple app that makes the phone beep at a set interval when you have a message/missed call that hasent been viewed yet?

Most messaging apps allow you to set an LED notification. Does your phone not allow you to do this? I'm not sure if an app is available to beep at a set interval.

Install Handcent.

Under Notifications it offers:-

Notification sound

Notification icon

Show unread count

Vibrate

Blink LED

Colour of LED

LED flash frequency

Enable reminders

Number of reminders

Screen on for reminders

Special reminder sound

Light trackball (if you have one).

I'm sure some of those features will meet your requirements.

thats the problem, my phone dosent have a led. So I want an app just to make a noise every 5 minutes or so if I have a new message that I missed because I was away from the phone or something

So Special reminder sound in my Handcent list doesn't suit you then? :confused:
 
i like it but, its giving me 2 sets of txt for the same txt message recieved. One from the app and one from my regular sms system
 
okay I finally sorted everything out, this app is just what I was looking for, it only took me 2 hours to figure everything out and configure it :-x lol
 
Ironass, I have been through all the menus and can't find the features you listed. Can you point me to Special Reminder Sound and Light Trackball please? Thanks.

Not quite "all the menus" I would guess.

Handcent > Menu > Settings > Notification settings > Notification settings (again)

The menu starts with Test notification and continues on down.

I got this to work fine on missed Msg's but I can't find out a way to make it work for missed calls? Is that not possible or am I missing it? Thanks Jeff
