message notification fix (so far)

I had the msg notification that wouldn't disappear. I'd deleted a contact and msg and that solved it. Later, msg notification showed up again. I pulled my battery out for about a minute and that seems to have solved it.

Keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Lasted a little while. I went to txt someone but didn't send it got out and the 1 msg notification returned. Will check in settings for system update then will probably do the battery trick again.
Keeps up will either call Sprint or stop at Sprint store. Might get/run antivirus software but it seems like a bug.

It shows the false notification randomly (now). The last post above-I was able to get rid of that false note. I had shut off the phone, took out battery, waited a bit-replaced battery, turned on, still there.

Before doin that I had refreshed the system (where you check for updates). I wound up downloading an AV app just in case, all clear.

I checked the phone log as well as the msgs there is no new message. Anyone else have this and have a fix for this?

I had a similar problem with my epic. I had this notification that would not disappear for a text that when i clicked on it took me to a compose message screen with no contact and no message. I could see the start of the message in my notification bar but the message did not exist. I kept receiving the notification multiple times it took several days for the message to stop coming in i believe it just went away on its own.

Another issue i have is sometimes clicking on things and it opening other applications up for example clicking on messaging might open up the market it only does it every once and a while but it is quite annoying.
