Message notifications

Hi all,

is there a way of silencing the email notification and not the phone/text ringtone??? i have a galaxy sII all i can manage to do is silence everything which is not good as i would like to leave the phone on in case anyone needs to contact me at night when asleep, but i dont want to leave it on as emails come through during the night. surely a phone of this calibre is able to seperate these functions??

Depends on the email app you are using. If you are using the stock email app, go to email app>select the account you want to silence>press menu button>select "more" options>account settings>uncheck "email notification". You have to do this over again for all accounts you want silenced.

If you want to automate this to certain time of the day or places, you need to get an app like Tasker.
