Help Message sending failed after multiple attempts

Hi, just started using my new HD and have successfully sent a few test sms messages to some different contacts (i have linked my contacts to facebook). Today (less than 24 hours since i turned it on for the first time), I can no longer send sms messages. When i try to it gives me the message 'Message sending failed after multiple attempts'. I tried resending multiple times, adding and removing area codes to phone numbers, logging out of facebook but still no success. The only thing i havent done is delete my facebook account.

Has anyone else had this message sending problem? Any solutions?

Update the FB app see if that works. When I first linked stuff to my FB account, it screwed up some of the numbers in my phone book as it removes the "+" in front of the 44. Recent updates to the FB app have changed this.

To update, just open the market app, hit the "My Apps" button and the FB Icon should have "Update" next to it.

Hi Lumisade,

Are you, perchance, on the Vodafone Australia network? Their SMS service has been down since 2:30pm today (Sunday) and has only just started working again for some customers (myself)

@Sombre, yes I am on the Vodafone Australia network, it seems my friends on vodafone have experienced the same problems. Have sent more texts since and these ones have been successful. Thanks for your help.

@El Presidente Thanks for the heads up on the Facebook update, have just downloaded and installed, in order to avoid any future problems regarding linked contacts
