Help message showing but none there

Hi, after deleting a bunch of messages I'm left with the envelope at the bottom of the screen with number 1 in it and an envelope showing at the top. Unfortunately when I click on either of these there isn't a message and I can't fathom out how to rid my phone of it...any ideas please??

Are you using a custom ROM or does the phone have stock software?

The easiest solution would be to reboot the phone and see if it's still there, if you haven't already done so.
