Help Messageing force close

I'm a heavy texter and I get force closes about 5 times a day. It happens when I type and gets extremely laggy. Idk any suggestions? And it also happens when I get 2 plus messages
 
I would advise running a repair via the Support Zone section of PC Companion as you may very well have either a firmware or corrupt data issue.
 
Another alternative you could try with the device,

Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Messaging > Clear Data > Clear Cache.

After you have attempted this try opening the messaging application.
