Messages app doesn't function after update

Did anyone had a problem when a messages app just stops running after a couple of seconds and the system suggests to send a report of malfunction? It started right after my last update 😔
It's Android 4.4.2, HTC one

What did you do then? It happened to me before, and I did send the report of the malfunction. I can't remember what happened next but it was sorted out. lol

Try clearing messaging data? Make a backup first of your messages using Helium before going through with it.
