Help messages not deleting

my messages keep freezing and so i read that its probably because i have too many saved up (i havent deleted anything since ive gotten the phone)
anyway. i keep trying to delete my messages but they wont delete!

what should i do?

use an app from market called Txtract to save all msg threads to the SD then you can delete threads from phone ....
