I do not know how to find my text messages or phone messages and it is not in the user manual.

Hi
To find text messages you open the app called messaging. Often a green icon with a smiling face. The messages are listed. Press on a message to open it.
For voice messages (left for you if you don't answer your phone) the method depends on your carrier. Usually there is a number you can dial from your phone to access messages (the number is different for each carrier). It will be in the instructions that came with your sim card or carrier information.
