Messaging app

The default messaging app keeps force closing and wont open back up till i restart my phone! Really frustrating me! Please help. Thanks.

If it were me, Id do a factory reset of the phone. If the problem persists, contact the apps vendor as they are responsible for fixing any issues or bugs with the app.

As it is a preinstalled app, that would be Virgin and/or LG.

I've done that regarding the Cooliris app that comes with the phone... VM said to contact the vendor as no one from Cooliris works at VM. It would be the same if, lets say, the Market app was having issues. You'd contact Google, not VM.

Before you hard reset, menu > settings > applications > manage applications > all > [your messaging apps name] > clear both data and cache (if possible). You will loose your old texts doing this! If that doesn't work, a hard reset may be needed to refresh the damaged program. You could also give an alternate a try. Go Sms, chomp and Handcent are worth a (FREE) look. Good luck!
