Messaging force close

Yesterday I purchased a Samsung Fascinate but my messaging does not work. When I attempt to send a message is get an error message stating 'the application messaging (process.com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I get the mms message while attempting to send sms. Has anyone experienced this before?

Sounds like you might want to consider doing a factory reset on the phone. Otherwise I'd suggest taking it back to the store where you go it and tell them to give you another. New phones shouldn't do things like that!

Did you buy this new? Because it sounds like a permission error that sometimes happens when ppl change stuff around after rooting.

Hi,
after last firmware update my desire hd started force closing my message app. That was very frustrating when message app close right after you have started it. But, I just found out that there was 1 old conversation threat which has something to do that problem, cause i deleted it and after that no force close occured. Message has some special character.

I still get force close when i try open drafts messages. Propably drafts are the true reason for force close.
