Messaging from iPad to Android

[thatperson]

I am looking for a program like whatsapp that can be installed on an iPad, iPhone, and android. My girlfriend has an iPhone and I have a DroidX, she just bought an iPad and wants to message and share photos just like whatsapp, but it's not available for iPad.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

WhatsApp Messenger is in Google Play; I don't know if it will work on your hardware.
