Help messaging will not stop updating

Hello forum,

My messaging app has started syncing with something but I don't know with what. It will not stop unless I force it to stop, then my messaging will not work after that. I used Samsung Smart Switch to move my data over from iphone to GS5, not sure if that has anything to do with my problem or not. The messaging app info program name is wssyncmlnps and it runs forever! It keeps bringing back old text message threads, even after I delete them. Please help!!

I am having the same problem. It starts to update and will take DAYS and only get to 75%. What is it and is it OK to force the stop? HELP?

Go into settings/accounts and see what shows up there.

I had issues like this, deleted all the accounts and then re-established them.

Problem solved.

Also, I don't care for the S5 message apps at all, especially the Verizon version.

I have switched over to Go SMS Pro which is by far a better messaging app.

There is another messaging app that will make the received message show up on the LockScreen but I'm not using it right now.
