Help Messenger hanging...

Hi guys,

After updating I am having issues with messenger, I have to reset often, otherwise it hangs, whilst writing messages, or after I have sent one, it takes a good five seconds before it will let me leave.
I have tried the soft reset, and this works for a short while, then it goes back to the same old thing, very irritating, was fine before the update.

Anyone else having these problems??

What update are you referring to? How many messages do you have in your app? Have you tried clearing out the cache? Have you tried deleting some/ all of the messages to see if performance improves?

You can clear out the cache by going to settings> apps >all >messages > clear cache

Have just cleared the cache, and that seems to have helped, will let you know if the problem comes again.
