Help Messenger hanging

I have a problem with messenger, every time I use it, it hangs between sending messages, I can send a message, but when I wan to write a new one, it takes sometimes up to 10 seconds hang time, before it lets me do anything again.

I have tried a factory reset, and have tried to re boot my phone, but it does not help, it is a very irritating problem to have on an expensive phone,

Ideas anyone??

It's been happening to since i got the phone last May. However, on asking my son his opinion I realised it doesn't happen where he lives (North Yorkshire - rural ish). So strange.........
