You haven't said what it is you want reminders for, so I'm going to have to take a couple of guesses. If I misunderstand you, please post again with a more complete description of what it is you want.

If it's for incoming messages, all phones should put a notice in the notification area and will sound when the message comes in. Some phone's message apps can be set to repeat this reminder - I don't know what phone you have, but check the settings of your message app just in case. Otherwise if you want repeated audible reminders then some 3rd party SMS apps in the Play Store can do this - from memory I'm sure Handcent can, which probably means that others can as well. Or if you prefer to keep using your current SMS app, there are a number of apps in the Play Store that can just add a repeating reminder when messages arrive - searching for "repeat sms reminders" came up with a long list of suggestions for both SMS alert apps and alternative SMS apps. Many repeating alert apps can do missed call reminders too.

If you just want a pop-up and your phone's app doesn't have one, most alternative message apps do this, or look for an app called "SMS Popup" (which can also do repeating notifications if you want).

If you meant calendar reminders, I recommend "Calendar Snooze" from the Play Store. Lots of options (full screen notices, repeating reminders, and of course the ability to snooze the reminder for as long or short as you want), and works with any calendar app

Don't offhand know of one for email reminders, though there may be one (or an email client that does this).
