Help Metal contacts on back

Hi Guys ,

Quick question , to my knowledge the metal contacts on the back is for accessories is this true if so what accessories?

The official HTC Dock and car dock I believe. They're quite expensive though and I'm not sure if any 3rd Party alternatives work.

Amazon do do cheaper ones but I don't think they have the speakers included.

There are much nicer looking docks that holds the device upright to you can watch movies properly, while charging it. Just type 'one x dock' into Amazon, there are plenty around the 12-15

I can't see one on the official HTC site, nor on Amazon which is strange.

Does the AT&T model have the metal pins on the back?

Yes it does and I really want to use the feature if I can..I wonder what's its for otherwise

I'm new to this androidforums ..where can I check out if someone's interested in buyingy one x or what I can do to get another phone. I really want the Nokia lumia 920

Living in Australia our one x does not come with the metal contacts on the back. The dock uses the connector on the top left (same as the charger) and looks like it connects via a micro usb cable.

Doing a quick search on amazon there are a few going for under $20. I bought mine from ebay for around $30 (free postage) and works great.
