Methods for auto call recording

[v.sathyamanoj]

hi experts,

I am new to android technology..now i am trying to create some test projects to learn the subject well..now my issue is "Is there any methods for auto call recording in android". If yes then let me know what are they & how can we make it?

There are a few apps in the Market, however with the way android works, they only record from the microphone. So if you want to record the caller, you will need to use speakerphone. Also, be sure to check the legality of this, it varies by state.

on the HTC Desire if you want to root your phone and install a custom rom with a kernal with call recording feature you can now.

Im running Insertcoin 2.0.1 hd rom on my desire, with the latest kernal and an app called voix callrecorder which auto records both inoming and outgoing calls automatically, this records both sides of the conversation from the phone line itself not the speaker.

whether this method can be ported to other devices I do not know.

But theres quite a bit of info over on xda forums about them setting this up with the kernal patches apk's for the appsand other stuff.

As to the legality of it,I dont know about other countries but here in the uk it is perfectly legal to record calls if you are using the recordings for your own personal use, if you wish to use them for other purposes, commercial reasons, evidence in a court, or proving that something was agreed to etc etc you have to inform the other person that the calls are being recorded..
