Metro data usage on metropcs.com

So, I recently switched to metro and grabbed a lg connect; cool. I hopped on the $40 250mb 4g plan because the reppresentative said that only streaming data counted against that 250mb limit. I specifically asked if google maps counted against it knowing it can be a data hog; he said nope! Awesome!

So I log I to my newly created metro account on metropcs.com and look at my data usage, and from what I can tell its saying I used my limit. I had only used maps for 2 1hr trips and less than 30min of pandora, wtf?

Nonetheless, my icon is 4g and speed is as its always been.

The question is, am I reading the graph wrong? Or does pandora not count against the 250mb limit either?

Phone says life data sent is around 60mb!

I'd upload a screen shot of my usage bar but I'm on my iPad......

You might have been misinformed. The real details of these new plans is still being figured out by the user community, but they said in a press conference that all use goes towards your limit. A week ago the plans were different and it was only video streaming that counted. You will still see the 4G symbol after reaching your limit. You will still be using the 4G network, but your speed will be slowed down to around 1X to 3G speeds. Try a speed test to see what you are getting.

I'm getting the same speeds I had in ookla's speedtest.net...

And like I said, the phone itself says 58,823 KB under:Settings/about phone/status/lifetime data.

I would love some updates on this. Try maxing out your data, and please tell us if you still get the same speeds. Thanks in advance

I'm thinking of getting a Connect to send slide shows of my work and since MMS is free- was told it would not count as Data.

Was also told it would count if sent to Email address.

Was also told the opposite of both the above.



Whether there is intelligent life in the Universe and these questions above are 2 of the biggest Mysteries.......

Ok no is all data counted, email, browsing, video streaming, music streaming, downloads, uploads, gps navigation is all that is counted on

Wats not counted is SMS, MMS, voice calls.
