1- Download & Install [QPST] and [HTC Diag Drivers / Post with pics for diag driver install*] ( SPECIAL THANKS TO Duir FOR THE LINKS )

2- Get your own SPC Number

3- Got to Start-->All Programs-->QPST-->QPST Configuration.

4- Select your phone from the list (the phone should be in Debug Mode).

5- If you don't see your phone Click on "Add New Port" uncheck "Show
Serial" and select the port and add it.

6- With your phone dial " ##3424# " to Start Clients-->Service Programing. Select the phone and click OK. (YOU NEED TO INSTALL EPST.APK TO GET PORT..)

7-Click on "Read from Phone" you will be asked for your SPC number to unlock the phone and get its information.

8- Go to M.IP tab and select profile 0 and edit your user name remove the "aaak." , and set DMU Plublic Key ID to "41".

9- Go to PPP Config-->Um change the user name (Your Phone#@mymetropcs.com) and insert your SPC as the password

10- Go to PPP Config-->An change the user name (Your Phone#@mymetropcs.com) and insert your SPC as the password

11- Write to Phone (the phone should restart by itself)

12- Download de.mangelow.network-1.apk and install it.

13- Turn off your WiFi.

14- Run the App and in the "Set preferred network type:" Select CDMA auto (PRL). Tap Turn off radio wait about 5 seconds and turn radio ON.

15- Make Sure Toggle DNS check is "Allowed".

Password: metropcs

MMS Port: 3128
MCC: 310
MNC: 004
APN Type: MMS
 
i did this and whenever i try to save the apn it shows nothing what im i doing rong need help by tommarow or will return phone:confused:

Do you have data without apn configure? I left mine blank after realised I couldn't save once mnc & mcc were changed.
 
Where and how do I input the APN settings at the bottom on the HTC Wildfire S. I don't see a place to do it anywhere. Even looked under the menus of both "wireless and networks" and the "mobile network" submenu.
 
It's in Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names

Make sure your carrier is showing up in Network operators too.
 
That apparently isn't an option on my ROM :(

Like I said I've looked all over that submenu too.

EDIT: NVM, found an app to edit it :D

Still doesn't work :(

Although I believe I've figured out why now. My friend is going to be so happy (IE she won't kill me.)
 
Hi all and first a thank you to gueroloks for adding this fix.. Now if only I could follow it correctly lol I seem to be stuck at number 7 and the put your spc number in to access info where do I get this spc number? I have poured over these forums for hours and after having spent the last month on the whole bootlock, root, rom adding this is what I hope to be the last step on my journey of trying to improve my phone lol Also to insink71 *rob* I believe thank you so much for your rom as it is the only one that has worked without any issue other then having no network lmao I also sent you a message about this then saw this posting so sorry for that. Thank you gentlemen for all and any information you can offer. where is this bloody spc number lmao

I cannot find the "Access Point Names" under "Mobile Networks" either. I am using the insink71 rom for MetroPCS. I followed everything else step by step, and this is the last step I need.
