Root [MetroPCS] Anyone tried the new $50 Promo?

Has anyone tried the new $50 promotion? (started the 21st) Seems like its the exact same deal as the current $60 plan but the catch is you must have a MetroPCP branded phone (no BYOP) and it must be an LTE phone. So far, our F6 fits that criteria.

I am using Carbon Rom and I need the unlimited wifi hotspot capability I currently have with it and my question is will changing to this new deal "red flag" them as to my activities or prevent me from continuing to be able to have the hotspot? Also since my phone is rooted, is it still considered a "Metro PCS branded" phone? Or would it have to be completely stock/un-rooted?

easiest way to explain things.its legal to do what you want to your phone as far as modifications go.it just voids the warrenty so dont drop it and decide to take it in unless you reset it all back to stock beforehand whitch puts the warrenty back ;P

that might explain it better. basically rooting and jailbreaking is legal on smartphones only for the purpose of being able to use rooted applications/things legally.

good example:using this to use lucky patcher to moddify a google play store to allow to purchase google apps for free is technically an illigal process.using it to use rom toolbox pro to enhance your device,legal as long as you purchased said app legally/this only gives you abilities for your phone,does not allow any kind of software cracks

Thank you! But I didn't necessarily mean to use the term "illegal." I meant that in the sense that it violates the Metro TOS.
