Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] 4.3 Available

they said it started rolling out on the 20th of December so it is only available in some areas as of now. i remember it taking about a week when they first rolled out 4.1.2

If anyone gets the update just downloaded it don't flash it. Then root and use a file manager with root capabilities to copy the update.zip to SD card and upload it to shabby so he can get rid of the knox bootloader.

anyone check kies? kies would have an odin tar for everyone to be able to use etc.

keep in mind that the update will enable knox on your device and rooting it will trip the qfuse thus preventing warranty.

still showing mf2 on kies. metro has been saying for a while now that they've released it on their facebook page, but not sure if their just yanking our chain.

that's for another carrier. I dont believe the white s3 has its update rolling out. i think the reps are confused on cdma vs gsm and keep saying the gsm one has an update and its taken out of context.

I agree with this. 4.3 has been rolling out for metrogsm s3 a little after tmo got theirs.

the white S3 will probably never get the update because metro doesnt want to give CDMA phones users incentive to keep their devices.

but then i have no incentive to keep their service. i'm already thinking of getting the nexus 5 and going to at&t. at least then i will get better service.

You could always just get the nexus 5 and stick with metro
