i cant get it to read either sd card. it only reads system files and apks. any suggestions.

I've been using AC ever since Fuzz turned me on to it, and it absolutely rocks!
A must have for all Android users... BUT - when I tried to play with my SGS3 with CM10 (cm-10.0.0-d2mtr), it kept saying it had no root. (??!) Wouldn't let me do much except 'look' at the files on my phone.

Workaround - install "adbd Insecure", run it and enable "insecure adbd";

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImV1LmNoYWluZmlyZS5hZGJkIl0.

AC still says no root, but worked like a charm anyway... and transferred files without a hitch.

Big Kudos to Chainfire!

If Android Commander is not working for you, follow this guide to get adb up and running and also AC will work great. http://androidforums.com/huawei-ascend/438515-setting-up-adb.html

I ran into this problem on the Esteem and found out that I wasn't "hard rooted" with ADB due to the stock kernel I was running. But usually when you flash a rom with a altered kernel, it gives you hard root ADB access.

Thanks for the share homie. I hope some people here find Commander useful as I CANT live without. It's prolly the second best program ever created for a phone next to Skip Soft's Toolkit being number 1 of course.

True, i been hooked on it for a long time now, and great for testing alot of stuff, and just 1 click to reboot into any mode i want without having to use the buttons on the phone...lol :D

Yeah it makes life so much easier. One thing I really love is when you drag an apk over, say to the system or data, it automatically installs it. So not only do you NOT have to click and click to install it but you also DONT have to reboot (If it's a non system app of course).

Hopefully more people will find out about Android Commander because it's something I just cant live without.

So I went to the website and looked around. They don't have a version for Linux. Is there something similar, in Linux, that I can use. I haven't set up a virtual box windows yet. I plan to eventually, so I guess this isn't out of the question yet, but if I can get something like this for native Linux that'd be great.

You can try to install it and see if it will work with linux.

I'm on a new machine running Window 7 64bit...
WTH happened to the "Copy To" button on the left panel?

Anyone else notice this, or did I just get a bad download?

That's the same version I'm running too... are you running it on Windows 7?

Edit~ I just DLd the version from your link, re-installed, and still have no 'Copy To' button.
The exact same .EXE runs perfect on my old XP machine, but for some reason it's not liking Win7 64bit.
Ideas?

No clue. I'm on Vista. Contact the dev and let them know. Also check the faq on the site and see if it has any info in it. I'm sure this isn't the first time it's happened so the dev might have some answers for you.
