Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Any way we can get a data cap removal zip going??

Lately I've been feeling like my data hasn't been consistent...any way we can get this zip for the s3 ??

Wait did the data cap really work for u? Those things doesnt really work since the capping is done at metros end not our phone it self. And well I also suffer terrible 4g while others are getting 4mbs and stuff, but hey we pay 1 third of those POS big companies so I dont mind

yes im sorry we were not allowed to comment much on the data governor mod bs but sorry its pure myth does not work because metro controls it all via towers.

Yes and no, the mod package I put together for the connect 4g included the throttle mod. It did work for most. It doesn't really have anything to do with metros throttling, it just edits a few lines on the phone to give more consistent speeds. It can't make your device go beyond what metro allows but it can make your connection more consistent, and that's all it was intended to do. I think a lot of people believed it would make their 4g speeds increase, that's simply not the case. Though it could make it seem faster due to less stutter while using Internet services.

I haven't checked it out on this phone as of yet. Not sure if that's even the case on this phone. I'll take a gander within the next few days.

and/or they think it will bypass getting throttled when they hit the data cap when tethering, as stated is controlled on metro's end.

Actually this throttle is what I'm talking about;) I remember you explaining the same thing on the connect forums. But cool hopefully you can get it working.

Im very much aware of what ur saying... you mean speed consistency and yes me and few others have tested it downloading the same file after flashinfg the lame mod and nothing. This is only a placebo just like the dr dre beat mod was a placebo. You see when it comes to such claims with such mods me and a few others like to play the myth busters and trust me if i gotta show proof let me know I got too much sources.

Lol... Feel free to try to debunk it. I also have proof that it in fact has worked, by doing the same tests as well as speed tests, and checking latency.

Before and after effects, the speeds were simply more consistent, more consistent with the mod, fairly across the board without it on the connect. We went back and forth modded/stock, mainly because there were others that held your view point.

The numbers are hardly placebo, they are factual.

Btw, I'm not laughing at you, just the fact that this argument has come up again. ;)

Yea I can see being able to get more consistent speeds, and never actually debated that, just theres no way to bypass getting throttled for abusing tethering when its not controlled on the device. ;)
