Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Apps

I downloaded an app and it gave me an error failed to download, all good so i re-downloaded it but now on my phone i have two widgets one that works and one that don't what is going on here? i can't seem to get rid of this other widget? I uninstalled and then there both gone. Could use some help with this. The only thing i know to do is a factory reset! And I did a factory reset and I still have the problem. Dose anyone know what I need to do?

what rom are you using? ive noticed that on any of the roms on 4.1.2 but did once on each rom after that never again.

Might need to boot into recovery and wipe cache or just go to apps in settings and clear the play store cache.

I'm not rooted I've tried a factory reset but that didn't work ether?

what apps did you install ? maybe clear the launcher's data . ?

on settings look for manage apps then there find that app and select it and clear data and cache.
