Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Battery draining faster

My battery used to last almost two days back when I first got the phone and I wouldn't charge it over night only in the morning till 100% then I would unplug it. Now I just plug it in at night and unplug it in the morning. I'm currently running chameleon rom and my battery drains very fast on stand by as well. As soon as I take it off the charger at 100% it goes straight to 99% and continues to go down at an accelerated pace. So which 4.2 rom is better for battery or what kernel can I flash? Also how do you charge your phone? Overnight or only till 100%? Thanks.

I know this is pretty simple just covering the basis but battery calibration might help

Your phone may be reacting to the rom weird. (Not all phones are created equal sort of speak)

I'm on cyanogenmod and have pretty much the same battery life I had on the other roms. Not any rom here is going to give you dramatically better battery.

The kernal that we have for AOSP roms is no longer supported since the update to 4.2.2

As for the how do I charge question it's definately healthier to charge only to 100% but the way I see it, and this is a personal view, but I dont stay with the same phone for longer than a year. This time next year I'm positive I won't be using this phone anymore. That being said I charge my phone overnight. I've never had a battery just give in on me. If you plan on having this phone for years to come then yeah charge till 100% otherwise you're just inconveniencing yourself

Hope I helped in some way :)

AOSP 3.4 Kernels from d2vzw are working for our device now. Kernels updated on 4/19 from d2vzw work on our ROMs that were updated 4/19 and after. I've flashed lean kernel and ktoonsez's 4.2 aosp kernels without any issues. I have the best battery life with ktoonsez kernel. :D
