Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Can I unlock a CREDO S3 for use with Metro?

Hi!
I recently was given a Galaxy S3, (32 Gb version) meant fir use with the CREDO company. She didn't like the plan, but didn't return it in time for the refund.

What I would like to know is:
1: can I unlock this credo galaxy S III so that I can use it with my existing metro PCS account?
2: Can I Root this phone?
8620542046

I ask because someone said that because it was a credo-specific phone it was built with limitations.

Here's a shot of the inside of the phone for those who know what it means.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

that is a sprint mvno. you can get 3g working but not 4g, you might have better reults with something like ting/boost/virgin

Thanks!
I was looking at ting, and wondering if they were really better than sprint billing-wise.

Another question: If I don't watch video, or listen to streaming music on my phone, will having 3G as opposed to 4G really be that much of a difference in emails, and calls?

thanks again. I really appreciate it.

i dont have metropcs service so im not much help there, the only one who would truly be able to answer that is you. unfortunately due to signal issues tower placements etc you could have absolutely terrible MetroPCS coverage and have very bad 3g.

as far as ting, they can be worlds cheaper so long a syou mind your usage, try to match other carriers and youll pay more. i suggested those 3 as they are sprint mvno's as well and may get LTE coverage with your device

It wasn't to show the battery. it was to show the structure and card slots or lack thereof, if that might prove to be a factor.

seems its only meant to be on 3g since theres no slot for a uicc or sim card. so yes it can be flashed to metro but your gonna have to take it to somewhere where they still flash phones to metro and yes there are still places flashing phones to metro even though metro said they are not providing such services anymore but anyways thats another topic.
