After I flashed the mb2 tar for 4.1.2 in mobile odin pro while preserving root I was rooted and status was normal...that'll change when I flash another rom though most likely

yep i dont recall how i did it but basically when it says modified its saying it has detected root on your system.

that i dont know...it could have been from making a nandroid of the 4.1.2 stock rom possibly if thats what you were on

I flashed with Mobile Odin Pro and had it root for me. My status still says normal

I use triangle away to pause/stop supersu on reboots so the system doesn't pickup that I'm rooted. It shows normal. If I allow supersu to start it shows modified..
