Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] CM10.1 RC 4G issue & MMS picture messaging issue

I have installed on my phone CM10.1 Release Candidate, and I'm having difficulties with the 4G connection and picture messaging. I am in a 4G coverage area and only receive 1x connection constantly. I tried reprogramming the phone via metropcs *228 feature but still nothing. So I figured that it may be indigenous to this ROM itself. Has anyone experienced these problems? If so, are there any fixes for these issues? Thank you in advance.

Just update to the nightlies, RC4 wasn't updated with Metro's information (or something like that, via ShabbyPenguin) but the nightlies after that have been fine.

PS: You might have to do an NV Restore first, but I'm not sure.

Did you backup your NV?...
Edit: check in the about phone<<network and see if any information like min is gone... If it is then you have probably lost your NV...

Please forgive me, but what is NV?

Yikes, that's a no D: threads are stickied for a reason, much easier to see. Dont quote me on this but the NV backups process backs up two partition that your phone needs to work properly. Text, calls and such.

So if i restore my initial metro pcs Rom would i then be able to back up the NV?

I don't think so... Do check to see in settings about phone network to see if your min is wiped out if it is then your NV is gone...
If it is then I believe that using Odin to flash your completely stock tar and then factory resetting is your best option...

Like I said, update to a NIGHTLY...RC4 experienced the same issues as RC5. Like dude said above, your network should still be intact.

This. But make sure to factory reset in settings and NOT recovery.
