Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Do I Need to unroot? If so, point me the way?

Just my luck, I dropped my s3 today destroying the screen. Lucky its usable still until I can geta new one. I recently rooted and put SlimBean ROM on. Do I need to unroot before I file a insurance claim?

I would. Don't give anyone any reason to deny your claim. Go to the thread linked below and follow the instructions. This should get you back to stock and noone at metro or the insurance company will be hip to your flashing. Good luck!
