title. I'm thinking of getting this phone soon, but i'm waiting to see if the merger passes so i could get one after it occurs. :smokingsomb:
 
officially no "EDIT " Us galaxy s3 has it. unofficially theres a few rom ported over to metro's samsung galaxy s3 sch-r530m what has the multi-view and the sidebar thing. we are still seeing if perhaps samsung will toss us a bone but most likely metro will not want to do another ota update since the jb ota update was epic.

hmm i read that post about it on some website seems its samsung holding that update from us on the american variants of the gs3. dunno why since the note 2 got it. perhaps they are wanting to sell the update to different carriers as a optional update? dunno just my speculation.

My best guess is that maybe it's buggy on the Qualcomm S4 or just favoritism towards their homegrown Exynos processors? The Note II and international S3 run some sort of Exynos processor, while all US variants run the S4.

thats possible although i would like to point out on such roms with multi-view it works flawlessly but im not sure if thats a real ported premium suite or something else. what u think? this is a screenshot off my phone.

I've often been jealous of that feature not being in AOSP. It could be favoritism then because every device that has it officially runs on an Exynos processor.

lol tell me about it ill be honest i've used the roms for no more than 3-4 days havn't been on them for 2 weeks and couldn't care less the premium suite isn't essential but since samsung knows they have 90% of their device users hooked on their product they could promote gingrebread again and u know what people will be lining up begging for it. its all mental they promote anything as "exclusive" and people will throw money at them. that where we seperate the weak minded from the strong minded.
 
They're waiting for the s4 is my guess. Theyll include it on that and dangle it as a reason to upgrade before giving it to us a few months later
 
that's plausible since they don't wanna indulge its users on what they have now and instead expect most of us to buy their latest product. lol

I think so too. Perfect way to sell the S4 to Americans who want the premium suite... :/

Chemistry rom, jellybean goodness, and synergy and perhaps carbon rom but not sure entirely.

Don't think samsung is coming out with a S4 as Samsung is working on releasing Tzen there very own ubantu device
 
Tizen is going on low end devices in places like China.

It's not going to replace android.

Almost every manufacturer has been working on their own os. It's nothing new and won't change anything
 
yea i dont see android being surpassed by anything else i mean how google integrated everything to work with their network is amazing the whole android os just compliments everything google has to offer. Just recently i installed an widget on google chrome a calender and it has a smart feature to txt you and let you know about an appointment u set up on your desktop browser how cool is that? i know we can do it manually on our phones but to be able to do that on a seperate device such as a computer that just shows how innovative google is. Thats why apple is wayyyyyy behind so behind they had to allow their users to use google maps once again looooool wow how embarrassing!
 
you guys are giving the end user way too much credit, (prime example metropcs's facebook).

tizen already looks like a touchwizzed android, if they add in a compatibility layer to play apps use samsungs app store and sell it as the next galaxy s 5 very few mainstream people would have a clue. android as a brand is dying, people buy the htc one, the newest galaxy phone or optimus. the name android is becoming more and more hidden in each new device. they can already make a fork of the program that runs apps and everything just isnt fully open source. the big draw for them to keep using android is googles market, its where all the dvelopers are and is increasing. but when you have angry birds in teh samsung game hub 2.0 or in the play store do you care which one you get?
