Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] First time flasher, be gentle with me!

Okay so I rooted my device and now I want to flash a ROM to it because the stock one is a bit dull. I have the stock back up from this forum so I can always return to it. Also I used TWRP to back my stuff up. Now what should I do? I want to best ROM out there, one with good battery life and frankly pretty . What's my next step? Thank you guys.

Pretty darn sweet. So black bean works with Metro PCS S3? If so could you guide me in the flashing process or in the direction of a guide?

Yeah. Its for metro and in this very forum. Here it is anyways. Make sure to download from the secon post of the first page. The first post is mainly credits and stuff.

I went to the download list but I didn't see one for metro. Also, what in the world is Gapps?

Download the rom by clicking the "final version" link.

Gapps is google apps like playstore and stuff. It cant be legally included in roms so they make em seperate. You flash them right after you flash the rom.

remember to wipe, factory, cache, dalvik and system in twrp before you flash rom.

Ok so wipe everything after backing up using TWRP, I get that, but how do I flash it? Using TWRP? and when I do flash the rom do not reboot? Just flash the GAPPS directly after then reboot? Also I shouldn't unzip these files should I? Should I put them on and EXT SD or on the systems SD? Do I use the Install feature on TWRP or Odin?

Yes in twrp. Generally speaking if its a zip file 90 percent of the times it will be flashed in recovery. (twrp)
If its a tar file then in odin. no extracting required.

You can put it anywhere you just as long as you remember where. Choose install from zip in recovery and go to wherever you have it saved. after you flash rom, dont reboot. Go back and wipe cache and dalvik. Then install again, this time, gapps. Then wipe cache and dalvik again and reboot. Done.

I was presented with an option between apex launcher and another that sounds like debauch(I forgot). Which one is best? and can i get my stuff back with titanium? Also the OTA updater say "error fetching update info: Invalid ROM (baked_d2mtr) & device (d2mtr) combo!". Why does it say that?

apex is IMO much better, ota updater will work when it is official, but for now it isnt and thus i dont have it on OTA updater's servers..

not that it truly matters until the rom is made official there isnt gunna be many/any updates. when it is youll have to download the official version before you can use that app. and blackbean isnt like cm where they get new versions daily its a smaller maintained rom and only does builds when they want/need to
