Were you still having problems installing a recovery? I saw, you mentioned in another thread, that you couldn't install TWRP. Were you going back to CWR via ROM Manager?

i managed to get to twrp but i flash something i wasnt suppost to and it never booted up

i just called samsung and im still have warranty thet want me to send it to them do you think they gonna find out what really happened to it

As soon as they reflash the stock firmware and boot it it'll show them its got a flash count. They'll know if they look

Dont use programs to do recovery functions. Aka Stay away from ROM manager

If you cant get to recovery or download and the computer doesn't recognize it, there's not much we can do :(

It sounds like you flashed an international ROM.

If so, That's brick city

so pretty much they will find out

and how are they gonna be able to flash something on it if it doesnt boot anything atall

As the ones making the device, I'm going to go ahead and assume you can bet they've got recovery tools we don't

There's no such thing as brick city - as long as there's power, you're fine.

Your easiest option is to go to the Metro store - they charge $10 to wait a week for a new phone to be shipped there; or you can take it to the corp. store and pay $30 for an instant replacement.

As stated above, if there's power, you can download Odin (as well as the Samsung drivers) and google instructions for whatever you wanna install.

I'd go for the replacement, because even after the 2nd method you may not have your phone's info (unless you did an NV Backup).

Best of luck, bro.

Edit: I messed up once, when I bought my first S3, but the dude was cool and didn't mind the TWRP recovery I installed, lol - talk to a cool person and you'll be fine. ;)

i took it to metro store today they didnt have one there to replace mine but they place a order so ill have another one

Main point to focus here flash nothing unless your 100% sure about and when i say 100% i mean like u would bet your life on ;) i get lots of pms on the forum and on hangout about some1 bricking or losing their 4g completetly. i cant stress enough sometimes it isnt worth the headache trying to discover what may work and what wont.

Very true. Just because it says "Samsung Galaxy S3" in the title, doesn't mean it's right for your phone. There are six or seven S3s for different carriers, with more coming. And then there's the International variant. NEVER flash ANYTHING unless it comes from a reliable source ( like xda) for your carrier, in your case MetroPCS.

yea... we're not a reliable src. ;)

Any new rom that pops up i stay away from for a few weeks a let others be the guinea pigs, specially the ported roms, bad bad idea to be one of the first people to try it and "see" if it works.

That's how rooted my first android phone " the samsung indulge" everyone was saying how easy it was and what not so i took a chance and managed to root it. from there everything else just snowballed. i've been either a really good reader/listener or just pure lucky beacause ive never bricked a phone never had to send a phone to get fixed never had to use warranty never had to make a insurance claim. I guess i'm really careful with what i do.

The second mouse gets the cheese. :D

I've messed up my last three phones, including this one, and always found my way out thanks to a thing called Google. Most questions have already been asked.
You really have to work hard to hard brick a phone.

not as hard as u think i could brick my phone easily by flashing a rom for a international gs3 which has an incompatible bootloader and such in it.
