Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Help..phone wont charge

i wasnt doing anything special..just came home and plugged my phone in to charge and realized that it wasnt..last nite i was playing around with the goodness updater on jeallybean goodness rom..downloading different dialers and status bars..idk if that has something to do with it..ive tried 2 different batteries and both will not charge..can anyone help?

Well I have the same problem right now I had chemical battery died on me now it does not want to start I had the same issue like 3 weeks ago I just don't remember what rom I was on. right now phone is on the charger last time this happen I was concern after it finally started I am hoping it will start again this is the second time it happens keep me posted I had taken out the battery and plug it back I feel the vibrate and see the charge for like 2 seconds after that then it just doesn't do anything I will keep you posted.

idk whats going on..my charger works cause i can charge my esteem..i have a regular battery and an extended so im assuming its not a battery problem..did your battery just decide to start charging again one day?

try turning device off and charging? maybe should flash back to trustable rom/state so you dont have this issue again :/

Yes 3 weeks ago the battery died then I plug it and bam no charge left it for like 2 hours and then nothing after finally turn on to a 100% charge it was weird.

it wont charge on or off..the only 2 roms i have on my phone are cm 10.1 and jellybean goodness..i tried to go back to stock using odin but my laptop hasnt recognized my phone for a very long time..lol..months now..so that was a no go..idk how to restore with the nv backup either..should i try flashing another rom?..do roms give battery issues like this?

It's weird i couldn't tell you if it's rom related but I was on chemical as last time my phone battery died just like today.

Can't do that phone is not taking charge plug it into the computer and nothing i will leave it on the charger for like two hours and see like last time

if i cant get it to charge im gonna take it to a technician to see if its a problem with the port itself..it not i'll have to get a battery dock to charge it..sucks for us

yeah hopefully it will pick up charge let's see leave it charging for a while

Mines was plugged for like 4 when I try that night it turn on to 100% charge weird

mine is steady discharging..did you ever take it to get looked at?

No I simply turn it on after those 4 hours hopefully it will turn on if not a trip to the corporate store $30 bucks for a replacement right away

Something similar happened to me I had to push the button combo for recovery for a while then release when the phone vibrated and the Samsung logo flashed I pushed the combo again and I got into twrp...I was on miui rom

i still have quite a bit of charge left in both batteries..im gonna try a clean install now..see if that helps..i notice now my phone is doing some weird flashing crap when i wake it now.. and not turning off when i press the power key..so something is definitely wrong

my phone is now charging..i just tried a unviersal charger that i use to use for my esteem and its charging now..i was reading on the net that it could be a problem with the usb cable or the charger..even though it can charge a different phone..dosent really make sense..but its charging for now

Ok good deal we are back up and running but something is up with that I'm guessing somewhere along the lines of the charging settings within the rom who knows right now I'm in stock just to test my theory will let it die and recharge again to see what happens hopefully it will charge but your problem and mines were different weird
