Okay last time i flashed a rom my phone was unable to make calls or text. So im thinking about trying again with new s3 i read about the nv back up. If i back it will i be able to reatore so idnt lose the min or phone number ? I want to flash the blackbean rom. I think it says i have to reset my phone but wont that erase the nv back up ? I download the blackbean rom. The file name is baked_d2mtr_blackbean-7.zip is that correct one ? Also download the gappsinverted-jb-20121029-signed.zip. is that correct? I just want to make sure to do it right i dont want to wait to get another one again. Thanks for any help

definitely do a nv backup first..that way you can always restore your phone to normal in the future..that is the correct blackbean zip and im not positive about the gapps..get the most recent zip for that

I dont plug into my computer for roms..what i do is download everything right on my phone..after youve downloaded the rom and gapps to your phone..go into recovery..wipe your cache..dalvik cache..and factory reset..then install the rom..then the gapps..and reboot..once your phone reboots..sign into your google account..and all your stuff will still be there..contacts..pics..videos..nothing will be lost..also remember to reboot again..and remember to make a backup before you do any of this
