Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] insufficient storage available

What gives? Attempted to d/l a 1MB app -- failed, due to "insufficient storage..."

Settings \ Storage \ Total space = 11.95GB, Available space = 9.44GB
SD card Total space = 29.71GB, Available space = 27.05GB

So where is this app trying to install, that can't handle another 1MB?

(rooted, stock jb4.1.2) ROM Toolbox Pro loaded - will this help manage storage issue??

have you tried to d/l & install it more than once?

On my old phone I would get that error and just try again and it would work.

That's my next plan - not that I've Moved all my User (downloaded) apps from /data/app folder to /storage/extSdCard folder (the Real SD Card, not internal).

Update: Failed "insufficient storage...." Kinda out of ideas............

Solved: Within ROM Toolbox Pro / Configure Apps2SD, de-selected SD card ---- selected: Auto.
app d/l to /data/app folder -- installed (wonder if it works)

You also might try Settings and then Application manager. Scroll over to All and then down to Google Play Store. Select it and then Clear cache, Clear data and Force stop. Back out to the Home Screen and try the Play store again and see if it downloads.

^ Didn't work for me. It seems to be happening often, as well. IMDb won't install because of "insufficient storage available" when I have over 3 GBs free. I don't know what it could be, but it picks a random app and keeps happening (although it usually works after some tinkering).

if your on metropolis or Ldrift rom you need to go to system then data then apps and look for that same app u were trying to install and if uninstalled it might of left behind a odex file which always gives you that error just delete the odex file and u should be ok.
