Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Just left the esteem

Yuhhp I finnaly made it. Lol .but any way I was wondering?

1. Whats the best rom? (I was thinking king kang. But I love the touchwiz motion features) wich leads to my next ?

2. Is there a rom I can port that has the paranoid android settings (like tablet ui and good stuff) but with touchwiz motion features?

Hey men welcome almost all of us come from the esteem family we have a nice community here too right now we have 4 roms to choose from try them all is just personal taste :D
 
Yes I agree. My personal preference is Blackbean w/Linaro kernel.
I have had no probs at all. OC, Undervolt, great battery.
I have been driving this for over a week. :driver:without shifting.

been loving my S3 for almost two weeks now.

still sitting on a stock format, just rooted and de-bloated

I can't wait to see some awesome ROM's that rock the stock w/ awesome tweaks.
 
I'm from the Esteem family too. I'm loving the S3. I really don't mind stock at all, it works great out of the box. I'm currently test driving the CM10 nightlies and enjoying it. I'm excited about the cm10.1 development, just waiting for a more stable nightly build as the current builds are still in their infancy.

I have also made the change from the Esteem to the S3. While stock is neat, I have tried AOKP, CM10, King Kang, and Black bean. I finally settled on Black bean with the 4.2 GAPPS and keyboard.
I also have a backup of stock.
You can get the TouchWiz launcher and widgets for any rom along with Paper Artist and Sony Walkman music player and more, but the more time away from TouchWiz, the more I realize that it is nice, but I don't need it.
Also, Black bean is much faster than stock IMO.

Yes you have a point I will be happy once we get our stock jelly bean rom the roms are the best but I miss a few things from touchwiz
 
welcome all ya ex-esteem users me mikey nuttmeg pnut and a few others are also from the esteem wolf pack but just decided to upgrade our android experience to higher level lol. with that being said please yes take your time taming your beast aka your phone, get used to the new features mostly touch wiz stuff. get it rooted and get recovery installed with goo manager. i highly recommend twrp recovery just for them added extra neat features. from there create a stock backup recovery. then follow my thread on how to back up your nv. with all these tempting roms to choose from YOU CANT afford not to back your nv. trust me you'll thank us later since alot of people after flashing several roms have lost their prl and imei/esn number due to a corrupted saved nv file. once that happens its either sent back to corporate store or send back to samsung.
