I've always used AOKP, even after trying others, which are all nice, I find myself coming back to AOKP. It's small in size and just runs good for me. Try them all and find what works for you.

Once you get through all the hype and start thinking about how you wish you didn't have to worry about battery and wish you had a smooth running ROM, that has no isues??...You'll be back...I promise!! LOL!!


ChiweN has been around but this ROM is still pretty bad ass!!
 
i had a hell of a time trying to flash this kernal on to my sgs3 i pushed cm10 on this phone,and when i installed the lenero kernal and wiped the places i had to wipe the rom would never boot. can some one post a link on a compatible rom?
 
I've flashed this before and it worked fine. Now when i try i just get stuck at Samsung splash? Anyone know why?

I came here looking for answers as well. A coupleof posts above yours we got our answer. This kernel doesnt work with 4.2 roms if thats what your on

Thanks for replying, at first that was the problem i was on a 4.2 rom. Then i flashed Black bean 7 and it did the same thing. And i relly want to try this kernel I love the fact of over clocking and being able to change the voltage. I just dont know what the problem is.

BB7 is still 4.2 so this kernel wouldn't work. ;)
 
really? thats weird it says 4.1.2 but idk lol what rom should i use then?
I just tried CM10 and its still stuck at the GS3 screen

yeah im using it now but the kernel doesnt seem to allow boot sounds. i tried all sorts of methods to enable boot sounds and none have been successful. reading up on things i found that some kernels dont support it.
 
youd have to have a rom and kernel that supports it. idk what roms do and which dont. i know on my gnexus bamf was the only one who figured it out. im sure it honetsly wouldnt bee too hard to make it happen jsut dont run aosp...
 
i installed king kang(got my MMS back, yay) and installed this kernel and tried it to no avail.

oh well, lost cause.
